Sandton Sales Sedan

This Sandton project was a clean branding job for a business development sedan used for client visits, site calls and daily running between meetings. The brief was to keep it smart and understated, with enough presence to read clearly in traffic without turning the car into a rolling billboard.

A business car that still had to look like company money

The client was a professional services business based in Sandton, using one sedan for meetings, airport runs and local trips across Bryanston, Rosebank and the wider northern suburbs. They wanted a minimal premium look that matched their client-facing image, so the vehicle could arrive at corporate offices looking neat, not loud.

The key brief was simple: keep the car mostly clean, add a strong but restrained identity, and protect the paint where the car would see regular use. The vehicle also had to stay easy to maintain because it was washed often and parked outdoors during the day. In Sandton that means dust, tree sap and the odd scrape from tight parking bays, so the finish had to be practical as well as tidy.

We worked from a compact brand direction built around the company colours, a short contact line and careful placement on the doors and rear quarters. No full coverage, no heavy graphics, just enough to make the car identifiable at a glance and presentable in front of clients.

What the brief allowed and what it did not

The sedan had a recent paint finish and the client did not want that hidden under a full wrap. The vehicle also had factory trim, parking sensors and curved body lines around the rear doors, so the application needed accurate cutting and proper relief around edges. Because it was used every day, the turnaround had to be quick and the car could not be off the road for long.

  • Minimal branding only, with clear legibility at traffic speed
  • No full colour change, so the factory paint still showed through
  • Surface protection on the higher wear zones
  • Fast turnaround to keep the vehicle in service
  • Finish suited to corporate use in Sandton and surrounding areas

We also took the local environment into account. Northern Johannesburg sun is hard on exposed film and tint, and office parking often means long hours in direct light. So the material choice and edge sealing mattered just as much as the artwork placement.

The package we supplied on this sedan

For this project we supplied a combination of design, vinyl installation and finish work to give the car a polished but understated result. The artwork was produced to match the business brand and scaled carefully for a sedan profile, so the logo stayed readable without crowding the bodywork.

  • Custom artwork setup and layout approval
  • Precision vinyl cut graphics for both sides and rear
  • Paint-safe surface preparation before application
  • Paint protection film on selected high-contact areas
  • Window tinting to improve cabin comfort and reduce glare
  • Final inspection and aftercare guidance for the driver

Because the job was for a vehicle that moves through the CBD, Sandton and Midrand, we kept the graphics low maintenance and easy to clean. The result was a car that looked executive from every angle, but still carried the business name clearly enough for regular road visibility.

Workshop process and turnaround time

The full project took just over one week from sign-off to handover. Day one covered artwork finalisation and measurements, followed by surface preparation, decontamination and a careful check of the panel condition. On a sedan like this even small flaws show up under vinyl, so prep had to be exact.

The installation itself was completed in stages to allow the film to settle correctly and to keep the lines aligned across the doors and quarter panels. We finished with trim checks, edge inspection and a final clean so the car could go straight back into use. The tint and protection work were coordinated around the wrap, which kept the schedule tight and the vehicle downtime short.

During the final handover we explained the first 48 hours of care, especially around washing and window use. The car was collected ready for daily driving, and the finish held up well through the usual Sandton stop start traffic and parking garage use.

Why the result worked for a client-facing vehicle

The main win was balance. The sedan now looks more considered and more valuable, without feeling overdone. It carries the brand in a way that suits meetings with executives, property professionals and service partners, which is exactly what the client wanted.

The graphics also improved roadside recognition for the company fleet, even though this was a single vehicle. People tend to notice a clean car that looks intentional, and a well-kept sedan in a corporate environment sends the right message before anyone even opens a door.

  • Sharper first impression at office parks and client sites
  • Better brand visibility without heavy advertising
  • Improved comfort from tint on daily commutes
  • Extra protection on areas exposed to regular wear

It is a small thing, but for a business development car the details matter. The finish needs to say organised, punctual and credible, not flashy. This one did exactly that.

What we would repeat on the next sedan job

If we were doing this exact type of project again, we would keep the same formula: restrained branding, strong placement, and protection on the areas that take the most use. For a sedan in Sandton, that usually means doors, rear quarter panels and the front edge areas that pick up road wear first.

We would also continue planning around business hours so the vehicle can stay productive with minimal downtime. For clients who run one or two cars only, losing a vehicle for too long is a real problem, especially when staff are moving between Sandton, Midrand and the East Rand in the same week. A clean schedule helps just as much as the workmanship.

For future projects in this class we would keep the same close attention to panel alignment, tint quality and easy aftercare. That combination gives the vehicle a professional look that lasts and it avoids the messier repairs you sometimes see when a job is rushed.
